Kingdom of Thailand
An introduction tour to the island beginning with the Big Buddha,
which is located on a small peninsula of the island, visit the fish
market, and then the natural rock formations of Hinta and Hinyai,
meaning literally Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, take a good
look and you will see why. Also visit the mummified monk of Wat
Kumaram, Namuang Waterfall, and see a show of working monkeys picking
coconuts before heading to Nathon - the main town - for shopping.
Koh Pha Ngan
A one hour boat ride will take you to Koh Pha Ngan, the site of
the famous "Full Moon Party", here you can enjoy swimming
and sun bathing on the beautiful beaches, and of course you can
also do some snorkelling.
National Marine Park
Angthong Marine National Park is located northwest of Koh Samui
and consists of 40 islands, but we shall visit two of the most beautiful.
The tour begins with a 2-hour boat ride from Koh Samui, and transferring
to a long-tailed boat to get to shore. On landing we shall proceed
up a 400 metre hill to a view point, where you will have a breathtaking
view over the park - on a clear day you will be able to see the
island of Koh Samui. The second island brings you to a scenic salt
water lake, which is connected by underground tunnels with the sea,
here you will be able to see many sea fishes.
Wish for a change of scenery, but do not wish to exert too much
energy on a tour? Why not take a trip to the small offshore islands
of Koh Tan and Koh Mudsum, there you will be able to take your time
to discover the beautiful underwater world, swim, walk, or just
relax on the beach.
Begin our trek at the Hinlad Waterfall, taking the path up through
the jungle and passing fruit plantations and small houses. After
an hour-and-half of hiking we reach our rest point at a waterfall
where you will have an hour to rest, bathe and relax prior to continuing
by a four wheel drive jeep to what are probably the most scenic
viewpoints on the island.
We shall take a motorised boat to Angthong National Marine Park,
where you will then board a 2 seater kayak and paddle your way through
the park and discover the beauty of the secluded islands with white
sandy beaches. After lunch, time is allowed for snorkelling and
swimming prior to taking your kayaks to explore some caves.
Ferry over to Koh Tan and Koh Mudsum - two small off-shore islands
- by long tailed boats. Enjoy fishing and then later sample your
catch with a barbecue on the beach - but don't worry if you haven't
caught anything, as we have come prepared!
