Day 1 Bangkok - Ayuthaya - Khao Yai National Park
Early morning departure from Bangkok for drive to former capital of Ayuthaya to see historic ruins and monuments. Continue to Khao Yai National Park, covering 542,000 acres of jungle and forested hills. This evening you have the opportunity to take an optional wildlife observation tour.
Lunch

Day 2 Khao Yai - Nakorn Ratchasima
Proceed by road to northeastern provincial capital of Nakorn Ratchasima, better known as Korat, the commercial centre for the northeast. Visit several important Khmer-period sites, including Dan Kwian, a village noted for eathernware ceramics and hilltop ruins of Phnom Rung.

Day 3 Nakorn Ratchasima - Khon Kaen
Explore important archaeological site at Ban Prasat, then visit ruins and open-air museum at Phimai. After lunch, continue to Khon Kaen to visit its museum.

Day 4 Khon Kaen - Phitsanuloke
Morning departure from you hotel by coach traveling along highway 12 taking us from the Northeast of Thailand to the lower North of Thailand. Enjoy the change of scenery enroute as we travel through the different towns and villages.

Day 5 Phitsanuloke - Sukhothai - Lampang
Visit Wat Maha That, with its holy Buddha statue, continuing to Sukhothai, Thailand's first capital, now an ancient monument. Explore major temples, still majestic in ruins. Proceed to Si Satchanalai, to see remains of temples and palaces, completing the day in Lampang.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 6 Lampang - Phayao - Chiang Rai
Drive to Ko Kah to see temple housing sacred Emerald Buddha image. Proceed to rural town of Phayao to visit Wat Si Kom Kan. After lunch visit former capital of Chiang Saen on the Mekong River overlooking Laos. Climb 383 steps to visit Wat Phra That Jom Kitti, with fine view. Take boat trip on the Mekong River towards the Golden Triangle area, then visit Mae Sai, a market town on the Burmese border. Return to Chiang Rai for overnight.

Day 7 Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
To Mae Chang, visiting hilltribe development centre, Akha and Yao tribal villages. After lunch in Chiang Mai, visit villages manufacturing various typical handicrafts. Evening northern-style Khantoke dinner and hilltribe cultural show.

Day 8 Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Morning visit to an elephant camp in the forest and an orchid farm. Afternoon visit to wood carving workshop before transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for flight to Bangkok and transfer to hotel.
