Day 1 Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - River Kwai
Early morning departure from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi to visit the World War II Museum, Allied cemetery and Bridge over the River Kwai. Continue by train along part of the original Death Railway. Proceed to your hotel. After Thai-style lunch, an afternoon excursion by boat to Kaeng Lava Cave, to see its wierd rock formations. Return by boat.
Lunch, Dinner

Day 2 Kanchanaburi - Saraburi - Ayuthaya
After breakfast, proceed to elephant camp in forest, with an elephant-back ride, followed by a bamboo raft trip down stream. Continue by road, to visit notorious Hell Fire Pass with its memorial to those who died constructing the Death Railway. Travel by road to Ayuthaya the ancient capital of Thailand where we will stopover for the night.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 Ayuthaya - Lopburi - Phitsanuloke
Visit the former capital of Ayuthaya, with its gigantic bronze statues at Wat Mongkol Bophit, three dramatic pagodas and riverside Phanan Choeng. Continue to Lopburi to visit Narai Raja Nives Palace Museum, sacred Three Spired Pagoda, ruins of Wat Phra Si Rattana Maha That and Monkey Temple. Overnight in Phitsanuloke.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 Phitsanuloke - Sukhothai - Lampang
Visit Wat Maha That, with its holy Buddha statue, continuing to Sukhothai, Thailand's first capital, now an ancient monument. Explore major temples, still majestic in ruins. Proceed to Si Satchanalai, to see remains of temples and palaces, completing the day in Lampang.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 5 Lampang - Phayao - Chiang Rai
Drive to Ko Kah to see temple housing sacred Emerald Buddha image. Proceed to rural town of Phayao to visit Wat Si Kom Kan. After lunch visit former capital of Chiang Saen on the Mekong River overlooking Laos. Climb 383 steps to visit Wat Phra That Jom Kitti, with fine view. Take boat trip on the Mekong River towards the Golden Triangle area, then visit Mae Sai, a market town on the Burmese border. Return to Chiang Rai for overnight.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 6 Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
To Mae Chang, visiting hilltribe development centre, Akha and Yao tribal villages. After lunch in Chiang Mai, visit villages manufacturing various typical handicrafts. Evening northern-style Khantoke dinner and hilltribe cultural show.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 7 Chiang Mai
Morning visit an elephant camp in the forest and an orchid farm. Afternoon visit to wood carving workshop before returning to the hotel.

Day 8 Chiang Mai - Bangkok
After breakfast a morning visit to hilltop Wat Doi Suthep prior to your transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for flight to Bangkok and transfer to hotel
