4 Days / 3 Nights - Tour
Rose of the North - Chiang Mai
Kingdom of Thailand

The ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom still retains some of its quiet, rural attractions while providing all the advantages of a well-developed infrastructure. It is also known as the art and culture center of the Kingdom. You can visit home industries creating beautiful wood carvings, intricate silver products, the famous celadon pottery, hand-woven Thai silks and cottons, and hand-painted umbrellas.

Day 1 Arrive Chiang Mai
Met on arrival and transfer to hotel with rest of the day at leisure. Something not to be missed is the Khantoke dinner presentation of classical, folk and hilltribe dances, songs and ceremonies. After removing your shoes, you will be seated, comfortably, on the floor with Thai-style cushions for the dinner of a special variety of northern-Thai food, served in Lanna Kingdom court style.
Lunch, Dinner

Day 2 Chiang Mai
The tour includes a climb up some 290 steps to the temple on the summit of the mountain (Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep) . You will then proceed along a mountain road to visit a hilltribe village to see the Meo (Hmong) people living, working and dressing just as their ancestors did many hundreds of years ago.

This is an excellent opportunity to visit some artisans' workshops to observe the creation of Chiang Mai's most famous products. They can also be purchased of course. Included are celadon, pottery, umbrellas, silver and wood carvings, paper-making and silk and cotton weaving.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 Chiang Mai
Morning visit of elephant training camp, which will provide you with an idea of how these huge animals are trained in the jungles of Thailand. Your soft adventure then begins with riding these elephants through the jungle for approximately an hour, dismount, and continue your journey on bamboo rafts down the Mae Tang River for another 45 minutes. Lunch will be provided at the Orchid Farm, where you will also have an opportunity to see and purchase some of our beautiful orchids prior to returning to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure for personal activities.
