INLE PRINCESS RESORT
Unique Myanmar style - definitely the best accommodation offered on and around Inle Lake.

  • Located on the edge of the lake, at the foot of hills on the Taunggyi side. Transfers to the hotel are always by boat and it takes about 15 minutes from Nyaungshwe (vehicle access is limited to an extremely bumpy road). The hotel is built of wood and bamboo to blend with the beauty of its surroundings.
  • 14 superior rooms and 25 bungalow suites.
  • All rooms have en suite bathrooms. There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool on the lake (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed). The hotel has its own generator in case the local electricity supply fails.
  • One restaurant and open-air terraces.

LAKE VIEW RESORT HOTEL
One of the better hotels around the lake

  • Located on the western bank of the lake just 40 minutes drive from Heho Airport and with direct access to Inle Lake.
  • 20 Superior rooms with private balcony, color TV with satellite dish, mini-bar, bath room with bathtub and shower providing hot an cold water, IDD phone system.
  • There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool on the lake (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed).
  • The hotel has its own generator in case the local electricity supply fails.
  • One restaurant and open air terraces.

HUPIN KAUNG DAING HOTEL
Modernized, renovated hotel with nice location on the edge of the lake

  • Former government hotel, recently fully renovated
  • Located on the edge of the lake with very nice views.
  • 50 Superior rooms with private shower or bathtub and 11 floating huts on the edge of the lake
  • There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool on the lake (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed).
  • The hotel has its own generator in case the local electricity supply fails.

SHWE INTHA INN
Similar style and accommodation to Golden Island Cottages.

  • Located close to Phaung Daw Oo Temple on Inle Lake, this is an 'ethnic' hotel built on wooden stilts over the water.
  • Transfers to the hotel are always by boat and it takes about 1 hour from Nyaungshwe. Note: Boat traffic starts at 0400 hours on market days and this can disturb guests.
  • 14 standard rooms / 6 superior rooms.
  • All rooms have en suite shower rooms - simple bamboo and rattan fittings. There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool on the lake (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed). At times, there is no electricity during the night.
  • One restaurant and open-air terrace.

In the middle of the Inle Lake, Nyaung Shwe.

GOLDEN ISLAND COTTAGES 1
The most stunning location on the Lake - accommodation second only to Inle Princess.

INLE INN, PINDAYA
Simple "ethnic" style accommodation.

  • Located on the edge of Pindaya village - an easy walk takes you around Pindaya's 'lake'.
  • 35 rooms.
  • All rooms have en suite shower rooms - simple bamboo and rattan fittings and balconies. There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool up in the Shan Hills (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed). At times, there is no electricity during the night.
  • One restaurant.

PINE HILL RESORT, KALAW
Offers more comfortable accommodation than hotels available in Pindaya.

  • A guesthouse style hotel located on a hill above downtown Kalaw.
  • 32 rooms.
  • All rooms have en suite shower rooms. There is no air conditioning but it is nearly always cool up in the Shan Hills (in fact it is cold at times and a warm sweater/jacket is needed). Electricity is normally not a problem in Kalaw.
  • One restaurant.
