4 Days / 3 Nights - Mekong Cruise
Mystical Vat Phou
Lao's People Democratic Republic

The mystical Vat Phou temple is nestled on the lower slope of the Phou Pasak range, a few kilometers from the town of Champassak. This important Khmer monument which dates back to the 10th and 13th century is a magnificent site. It consists of a series of terraces arranged at the foot of a mountain which rises up like a pyramid and is lined with fragrant plumeria, the national tree of Laos.

The temple is still in remarkable condition and is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding examples of Khmer architecture still in existence, the veiw from the sanctuary on the top across the Mekong plain, ringed by mountains is a truly breathtaking experience.

The Vat Phou River Cruiser is a 34 meter steel hull barge that has been converted into a floating hotel. It was launched with the support of the World Bank in Vientiane, Laos, in 1993. Each of the 12 comfortable and elegant air-conditioned state rooms offer 2 comfortable single beds, a dressing table and a private bathroom. Enjoy a relaxing massage as you cruise down the Mekong River
